The iPhone 5, one of the most anticipated gadgets for 2012, is set officially debut here in the Philippines sometime in October or November. If you can’t wait and you really want one now, you can already get one but you’ll fork out a lot more cash. “Unofficial” units have started coming in though through various online stores and vendors in malls. We managed to get two handsets for review purposes and later on for comparative speed tests in different parts of Metro Manila (Smart and Globe) so expect the full review and first batch of tests early next week. The 87 year old Filipino-Chinese business taipan, who founded SM Group, was far ahead of Lucio Tan, who is at the second place with a net worth of $4.5 billion ($2.8 billion in 2011). But among the Filipinos, who are included in the list, the biggest gainer is Enrique Razon, Jr. Razon, a port operator who controls Manila-listed International Container Terminal Services, climbs from the 7th spot to the 3rd spot of the list of wealthiest Filipinos this year. His net worth has increased from $1.6 billion last year to $3.6 billion this year.
